1. Give the author's name and a brief outline of his or her biography. Please use your own words in order to avoid plagiarism. Born and raised in England, Neil Gaiman now lives near Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has somehow reached his forties. His children's novel Coraline, published in 2002, was also a New York Times and international bestseller and an enormous critical success; it won the Elizabeth Burr/ Worzalla, the BSFA, the Hugo, the Nebula, and the Bram Stoker awards. Director Henry Selick made the film "Coraline”, with music provided by the band They Might Be Giants.

2. Name and describe the main character(s). Are they static or dynamic? What motivates them? (A static character does not change, a dynamic character changes as a result of his or her experiences)

Coraline: Shes a brave courage girl, shes also very curious
The Cat: the cat is smart, trustworthy, friendly.
Coraline's parents: That love Coraline very much and always work.
The other Mother: Evil, Mean, Demanding, Sneaky.

3. What is the novel's setting? Why, in your opinion, did the author choose this setting for this novel?

The setting of the novel is in the country in a house with 3 other people. It is also stormy and dull, and in the fall time.

4. Describe some of the main events. Where in your novel does the climax take place? One main event is when Coraline goes threw the trap door to a diffrent yet same world. The climax happens on the other side of the small door in there house. She has 3 other people living in her house other then her and her parents.

6. Would you like to read more books from the same author? Why? I thought it was fun and adventurous. I would like to get another book from him because Coraline was one of the best books I read. I found out also that he make similar books like Coraline.
